Teaching philosophy
My teaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that students possess unique experiences and perspectives that shape their understanding of the world. I adopt a student-centered approach, recognising their diverse needs and interests. I highly value critical thinking and view education as a means to prepare students for real-world challenges.
My pedagogy takes a student-centered approach, with an emphasis on students’ holistic wellbeing. Aware that students come from diverse cultural, religious and language background, I maintain sensitivity and an open mind and strive to impart knowledge in an accessible way. I adopt a relational approach to understand students’ educational interests and motivations, to help them successfully complete their studies.

Selected feedback from students
‘I'm going to be honest and say that, going into the subject, I didn't know what to expect because this was out of my comfort zone. But when I actually come up with an idea and start developing it, the subject becomes more and more engaging. I get to learn so much about how to research and after this course, I appreciate all the works of scholars even more. Enqi was my tutor and she's amazing. It is easy to get a grasp of what she is teaching and I would say she was very involved in the students' works and made sure to provide help whenever needed. I really appreciate that. Thank you Enqi and the teaching team for a good semester!’ - final year media & communications student, 2024.
